Discount Codes Enhancements 

We’ve made some enhancements to discount codes and how they can be used in conjunction with our discount offers. Historically one of the biggest problems with using alternative discounts was the in ability to continue to utilize discount codes together. You had to choose one or the other. Now we have the flexibility to combine them! Use your volume discounts and don’t lose the ability to still offer your discount codes on those orders!


The enhancements in this release most notably include enablement, language, positioning of the Discount Code entry box/button and that discount codes no longer need to be manually sync’d between our application and Shopify (We do this in real-time with one of the new Shopify APIs.) 

Let’s first dive into setting this up. You will see a new section in the menu called “Discount Codes” -> Settings. 

 

 

Here you can specify how discount codes should work with the offers that you’ve configured. This gives you some flexibility in how they should be applied

Positioning works exactly like our Notification bar and discount table selectors work with injection based on tags. (We are always here if you need help with position or additional styling.)

Code Restrictions allow you to limit discount codes to a specified prefix for specific use-cases.


Testing Offers

We’ve also added the ability to test offers without having to enable them in your store. This is a great way to validate your new offer pricing, future offers, or while you are working on advanced styling. From the offer, just click on “Test” in the action menu.

If your offer supports more than one product or collection this will choose an item to present.

A banner at the top of the page will be presented so that you know you are in test mode.
